Cute Crochet Corgi Sploot

As I have mentioned before, I hand make a birthday present for each of my nieces and nephews each year.  Most of the time, I am able to find a pattern to work from, but sometimes I can't.  So when my 10 year old nephew asked me to make him a corgi, I got to looking online.   I had imagined in my head what I wanted to make for him.  It needed to be small, it needed to look like a corgi, and I wanted it to be laying down with it's little short legs sticking out.  I was struggling to find the right pattern, or one I really loved.   So I decided it was up to me to design one for my nephew and corgi lovers everywhere!

He turned out so adorable and better than I could have ever imagined. I have also had an amazing response from the fellow crochet community.   The part I like best about this pattern is the back end!  You can purchase the pdf on Ravely here:  buy now

But the thing that matters most of all is my nephew was THRILLED!  He loved it!   That is my reason.  The reason I crochet.   The smiles I get from those I love are worth the many hours I put in to all my projects!

I'm asking you, why do you crochet?  Who would you make this for?   Let me know and enter my giveaway for a FREE copy of this adorable pattern!   You can make your entry here:  a Rafflecopter giveaway    You'll be asked to give your email address.  This is only to notify winners.

Good luck everyone!

One of my own pups is part corgi. He is a corgi/basset hound mix, we call him a Corset. HA!  I just love him, so maybe I'll make a version of my pattern with longer ears to look more like him.
